The story takes place during the 2002 World Cup in South Korea
It is a remake of a true naval encounter on the Northern Limit Line in the Yellow Sea between South and North Korea.

What is the Northern Limit Line (NLL)?
NLL is an idea drawn across a disputed waters in the Yellow Sea between South and North Korea. North Korea does not recognize this demarcation.
Therefore, North Korean fishing boats, Ships guard warships and often pass through the NLL and sneak into South Korean territory. As a result, naval contact occurs frequently throughout the NLL.
Due to contact with the Northern Limit Line
Fifty-four North Korean officers / soldiers and 54 South Korean officers / soldiers have been killed, and 95 North Korean officers / soldiers and 99 South Korean officers / soldiers have been injured. Four South Korean civilians were killed and 19 were injured.
A torpedo boat from North Korea sank and a gunboat, A patrol boat was damaged. A Corvette and a Partolboat from South Korea sank, and a Corvette and two patrol boats were damaged.
The Northern Limit Line is based on the 2002 Second Battle of Yeonpyeong. In 2002, South Korea hosted the World Cup. On June 29, South Korea and Turkey are vying for third place. At that moment, two North Korean warships entered the NLL. South Korean patrol boats PKM-357 and PKM 358 prevented the NLL from crossing.
South Korea’s two Chamsuri-class patrol boats are equipped with 40mm Borfors each; Equipped with two 20mm Sea Vulcan Galtling Guns and a pair of South Korean Simbad SAMs. The warship is 37 meters long.
The main gun of the North Korean warship is equipped with the 85mm gun rotation of the T-34 tank, followed by two 35mm twin barrels guns. There are also RPGs. Snipers are also included.
North Korean warships do not accept the blockade of South Korean warships.
The contact lasted for about 34 minutes, and when two more patrol boats and two Corvette arrived from South Korea, the North Korean warships withdrew. The South Korean warship PKM 357 sank while rescuing wounded soldiers from the wreck.
